A Musical Zoo!

Come explore the wonderful world of animal-inspired music! From the playful to the unexpected, this lively, interactive program brings the sounds of the zoo to life through music.

We are excited to bring Untapped Adventures: A Musical Zoo to the Lower Mills Branch! Featuring double bass, violin, mezzo-soprano, and two pianists, this program explores how animals have inspired composers and musicians throughout the ages. Young audience members will get to join the fun with their own animal impressions, hand puppets, and paper animal masks. We'll finish with an animal dance party, bringing Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals to life through movement, imagination, and plenty of playful energy!

Untapped Adventures is a collaboration between Little Songbook Opera and Opera Untapped funded in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
