James Myers
Keyboardist James J. Myers (he/him) enjoys collaborations with leading artistic luminaries of our age. Esteemed projects have included Indie Songs with Renée Fleming, Vier letzte Lieder with Christine Brewer, and Opera Colorado’s Naxos recording of Nixon in China with John Adams and Marin Alsop. Serving as Lecturer and Coach/Pianist with Boston Lyric Opera he designed multi-media exhibition lectures at the Museum of Fine Arts and Public Library, including Viennese Musical Modernism of Klimt and Schiele, World Architecture and Acoustics, and Music of Matisse, among others. A frequent international performer, he toured Cuba with ViaHero in 2024; studied Slavic and Islamic medieval architecture in Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo; and in 2025 explored ceramic pottery tradition, agriculture and Mayan ruins in El Salvador and Nicaragua. In May, 2026 he joined Fullbright scholar Yasmine Bougacha for violin concerts in Cremona and Milano at the US consulate in Italy.
